Jennifer Rene Psaki

Jennifer Rene Psaki (American political advisor) was the 34th White House secretary. She served this role from 2021-2022. A member of the Democratic Party, Psaki was previously the White House deputy secretary (2009), White House deputy director of communications (2009-2011) and spokesperson for United States Department of State 2013-2015 and White House communications Director (2015-2017). Psaki was a contributor to political campaigns for CNN from 2017 through 2020. Psaki's career started in 2001 when she began working on behalf of the reelection campaigns for Tom Harkin, an Iowa Democratic candidate running for the U.S. Senate. Psaki later served as press secretary in John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign. Psaki was also the director of communications for Joseph Crowley in the U.S. and also as the regional press secretary of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki returned in 2012 for political communications serving as the press secretary of President Obama’s 2012 reelection campaign. [20] Psaki was fired as the spokesperson of the United States Department of State on February 11 2013. There was speculation that she would replace Jay Carney as White House Press Secretary.[21] However, Josh Earnest was announced to succeed Carney on May 30, 2014. In 2015, she was recalled to the White House as communications director and was there until the end of the Obama administration.
